| In March this year , at the South African Association of
Hospital and Insititutional Pharmacists(SAAHIP) conference we launched an interest group
for pharmacists in the managed healthcare environment.This group has been formed as an arm
of SAAHIP and for now is being driven by Dena and myself. The group is aimed at
pharmacists who have a keen interest in managed healthcare i.e drug utilisation review,
case management ,formulary development and implementation, prescription benefit management
etc. We are looking towards pharmacists who are participative , interactive and
willing to share their experiences and knowledge of managed care with the rest of the
group i.e add value and contribute to the group..So, in effect this would be a two-way
process, with us providing some workshops on aspects of managed care as well as sessions
where you can come share your experiences, discuss cases and interact with people doing
the similar job as you are doing or are experts in the field. |
